HOUSTON – The Rothschild Corporation announced that it participated in the Canton Fair, the largest trade fair in the world. Businesses from all over the world participate in the Canton Fair to expand international business opportunities with the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
Val Thompson, President of Houston International Trade Development Council (HITDC) and Miao (Mia) Smith Managing Partner of Xpanding US LLC and Chair for HITDC Asian Initiative Committee) organized the first visit to the Canton Fair for nine other Houston-based US entrepreneurs.
Because it is the largest trade fair in the world, businesses from all over the world participate in the Canton Fair to expand international business opportunities with the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
US entrepreneurs who joined HITDC in the Canton Fair visit included Denise Adjei (Protocol Services International, HITDC Advisory Council), Judge Bill C. Littlejohn (Attorney, Entrepreneur), Vicky Pink (VP Productions), (AXion Logistics), Suzani Grant (Lucy Ethiopian Restaurant and Lounge), April Day (WBEA President), and WBEA members Marion Rifkind (Universe Technical Translation), Susanne Rothschild (The Rothschild Corporation), Nicole Griswold (Yoga Blue), and Tiffany Williams (Twice Media Productions).
This was a groundbreaking, historic opportunity for participants to network with providers throughout the supply chain including logistics, other service providers, and original end manufacturers in many industries. Through the Canton Fair, they learned that doing business with China is now made possible and safe for small businesses by forming business relationships with sourcing agents, manufacturing, transportation, marketing, legal services, and logistics companies doing business within the PRC. They also recognized the Chinese demand for international trade and shared business opportunities with international companies.
